My wonderful girlfriend has a blog about her dreams. I hope she doesn't mind me copying her idea, cause I can have some real craziness happen while in dreamland myself. I'll try to remember everything that happens and record it here.
First of all, I awoke saying; "I'll go get an ATV."
Being unable to drive I find myself walking or taking the bus quite a bit, both in reality and in my dreams for some reason.
From what I can remember everything started out pretty normal: my girl was in her classes and I, well I wasn't doing much of anything really. She sent me a text saying that she needed some paperwork for both her and an unnamed classmate. She told me exactly where I would find this paperwork. After much searching I was able to find exactly what she was talking about, but I was a little confused because although this paperwork would have been just fine for her to understand it seemed to be quite above the intelligence level of her classmate. (Don't ask me how I know this, but I did.)
I proceeded to put all the paperwork in a manila envelope and head for the bus to bring it to school for her. Once I got there she said that I was just in time for her and her unnamed classmate to hand in the assignment. I asked her why she felt it necessary to be doing her classmate's work for her and she said; "Well we both know that she isn't able to do difficult work like this and I'd just hate to see her fail so close to the end of the program." I was also to wait for her so we could both head home together. I agreed.
We decided it was a good idea to walk home from school. I have no idea why this was a good idea, as in real life she has a car and we should have been picking her son up as well. But we started out on our journey home.
The walk home was refreshing (as walks often can be.) We talked about life and all the exciting things for us to look forward to. I remember having this pseudo-euphoric feeling and being quite happy that we were able to have such a positive outlook on upcoming events. Holding hands definitely added to this feeling.
I can't quite remember if we made it home, but I do remember that she looked at her phone and cursed, stating that her classmate had yet more paperwork she needed and couldn't leave until she had handed in this next assignment (which my girl had obviously been responsible enough to hand her copy in already, but apparently her classmate failed to achieve said task.)
So, seeing as this other girl was in dire straits we decided to walk back to the school and give her yet another assignment so she could take the easy route and have somebody else help her pass the course.
Most of my dream has obviously been searching and walking by this point, which believe it or not can become quite tiresome, even in a dream.
We got back to the school and my girl handed this other girl the assignment as promised. She thanked us profusely and mentioned that without our help she would never have even come this far along and would surely become a failure in yet another aspect of her life.
After this girl went back into the school we decided that maybe the bus was a better mode of transportation as it was getting late and we were definitely tired from our lengthy trek so far. We waited and got on the bus which, for whatever reason, seemed to take the expressway north. (The city bus does not travel on the expressway to Waterloo.)
The trip seemed to last far too long and eventually it seemed like we had gone way to far or had missed our stop somehow. I didn't recognize where we were at all. We decided it would be best if we got off at the next stop and figure out exactly where we were.
We were in a semi-built up area, but obviously we were too far north and needed to get back into town and find our way home. In real life I usually have a good idea where I am and which direction I am going. When I have this feeling of being lost in a dream it is very troubling.
There was a pathway near by, and my girl suggested that we take it as it would lead home. Not having a better idea, I agreed.
The pathway seemed to wander all over and before long I didn't even know if we were going anywhere close to the same direction that we started out going. This just added to my confusion as now I was really lost. My girl reassured me, stating she was sure that this path led home. (Why I didn't get my iPhone out of my pocket and figure out for sure is beyond me.)
Some ways down the path my girl received yet another text from this same classmate stating that she was in an even worse bind now and if she didn't have some help with whatever task she needed to have somebody else do for her she would definitely fail the course and was looking at a huge amount of debt as she would be kicked out of class indefinitely.
After cursing yet more fiercely at her phone my girl exclaimed: "Here we are, wasting our entire day it seems trying to help somebody out that can't even help themselves out! If we had some decent trail transportation we could head home and I could grab my shotgun and shoot her right in the face! That would eliminate all her problems for sure!"
To that I replied; "I'll go get an ATV."
